Our volunteers on a sunny festival day

Volunteer with us

Apply now to join us at a festival this summer

We provide wellbeing support at several UK festivals, but we couldn’t do it without our incredible team of volunteers.

Are you a seasoned festival-goer, or fancy trying something new to get out of your comfort zone? Either way, if you’re passionate about mental health and an empathetic listener – we’d love to hear from you.

We’re recruiting for two volunteer roles

Here are the festivals we’re supporting this year. To volunteer, you’ll need to be available the day before or after the festival dates too.

1. Qualified therapists (applications closed, register your interest now)

You’ll offer single-session therapy to festival-goers aged 18+, who are experiencing mental health challenges or may be curious about therapy and want a space to be heard. You may also give support and guidance to our wellbeing support volunteers.

Find out more in our role description (includes responsibilities, skills and experience required).

2. Wellbeing support volunteers (applications closed, register your interest now)

Applications are currently closed – if you’d like to be the first to know when they open again, register your interest below. No formal mental health qualifications required.

This role involves everything from putting up our bell tents, welcoming visitors to our space, and providing an inclusive environment for visitors to chill out and talk about whatever they’re going through with their mental health.

How it works (therapist applications)

1. Complete application form

Tell us a bit about you, your skills, qualifications and experience, and why you want to volunteer with blink.

We encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Due to high demand, we may close applications before the deadline: Sunday 2 March at 23:59.

2. Have a short interview with us

Attend an online interview lasting around 45 minutes, to get to know each other and see if we’re a good match.

We’ll tell you more about the role and you’ll have a chance to ask any questions.

Interviews will take place between mid-March to mid-April.

3. Get ready to volunteer

We’ll invite you to a short, online therapist briefing to prepare you for the role, run by the blink team. Sessions will take place between April and July.

You’ll get to know the other therapists and and find out how we work, so you feel fully supported before your first festival.
